hello

Hello
My name is Maribel Lara, I'm the second of four children. I live in San Cristobal a beautiful city near to Santo Domingo. I was living with my mother and my younger sister ,3 months back, but this year on june 17th I got married, now I'm living with my husband. I study modern languages Mayor in English at Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and I'm in the 7th  semester of the course.


I work as a English teacher in a elementary school located 15 minutes far  from the center of San Cristobal city, and I want to say that to me its very comforting seeing the children so interested on learn English.
for me is a  pleasure of being a member of this class, and I wish I would improve my English at the end of the class.

        Spiritual Renewal  In this case I would rather to talk about me and my spiritual life, I think that it will also be good for me because I  feel that I have to renew my spiritual life. I am a believer and I have gone far from my religious life lately, due to my job, university and others activities I know I should not pay that much attention to, but I do. The Tipping Point: Femicide in Dominican Republic: Dominican Republic has reached a tipping point in femicide. Each year, more than 102 women are killed by their partners of life. This wave of femicide is terrifying, so far this year more than 53 women have been killed in gender-based killings, according to the latest police figures. According to mavens and word of mouth opinions, this high figures of femicide is triggered because of the Dominican Republic "Macho" culture, that blame the women of being abused or harassed.
