Workplace Privacy:

Workplace privacy describe the extend to wich employers monitor and collect information on the activities, communications and private life of workers.

  Most companies employees may engage in activities that are not related to their jobs. For instance, the workers make personal errands, call their relatives and friends and check their personal emails. So, as a way of deal with this situation, companies owners turn to this kind of "strategies" to know if worker are wasting time at worktime.

Workers are accustomed to personal privacy, however, at work, employers are not obligated to give personal privacy to workers at the job. Employees are hired to do an specific task, not to spend time in personal stuffs.

The Tipping Point: Femicide in Dominican Republic: Dominican Republic has reached a tipping point in femicide. Each year, more than 102 women are killed by their partners of life. This wave of femicide is terrifying, so far this year more than 53 women have been killed in gender-based killings, according to the latest police figures.
