The bold and the bashful

Being bold is something that people that we are enjoy a lot, we like to go out, to buy, to make parties, to meet new people, to make friends and to visit different places. Dominicans are usually extroverted.   but there are also people who are basshful who do not like to do anything fun.

Honesty is the best policy

Honesty  refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. to being honest i one the best things in a person is life. I like to be honest all the time because when you are honest you are a better person. and people who are not honest always have problems.
Work place privacy at Punta cana-Bavaro.                                            Work place privacy at this area do not exit because employees don't have any privacy at work at any time.      For example there are video camera every where in the work place monitoring the employee 24-7.Especially, in the resorts employees are being monitoring and ckecking all the time. When they enter, they have to leave their staffs in the locker and pass for a security machine which they call " a metal detector".when employees leave their work place, they are checked by a security and pass through the machine again.Their bag also is checked. In addition, there are Camera in the employee's restaurant and maybe in the bath room and other places like where the employees live and rest in the work place and where some employees change their clothes.

UNIT 7: WORKPLACE PRIVACY

Privacy is the state of not being seen by others. In different companies employers are taking the option of putting cameras and others practices of monitoring what the emploees are doing during their worktime; like cameras in front of the bathrooms, even more into the bathrooms, eavesdropping on personal telephones conversations during the workday, and reading the incoming and out going e-mails. Many employers think that they have the right to keep an eye on to evaluate their emploees and care their business, but sometimes they are invading the emploees privacy and making them feel demeaned and disrespected. Many countries have a few safeguards to protect emploees' privacy, but most countries have no laws about workplace privacy.

Unit 7. Workplace privacy.

Well, basically i'm in favor of it ; For two reason : first, you' re not going to show a wrong behavior if you know you ' re being filmed on camera; and second that help for the employeer ' protection. Maybe, many People saw it as an invasion of privacy. But if any ne Isen't doing anything wrong, there' s not problem. So I think.

Unit 6. Spiritual Renewal.

Many People do  differents activities for Spiritual Renewal, such as fast, help Aids patients, help Hong refugees, Made a Groupon of praye,  spending time alone,  so on. By example in my Family use to do fast and growing number of People by praying  and signing together as way to demostrade to ouer God.  Also to read the Bible and memorize many book of it in onder to glorificate us and keeping Spiritual discipline.

UNIT 04, THE TIPPING POINT

The tipping point is the point at which a series of small changes or incidents becomes significant enough to cause a larger, more important change, a good example of this can be the climate changes. I magine cutting down a tree. Initially, you chop and chop … but not much seems to change. What you do not know is that this practice is one of the causes for cima changes. Just because of this a lot river disappear and the ice from the antarctic is melting. You might think it is impossible that the simple action of cutting down a tree, well it is not that imposible because that is happening, because we, humans, are not cutting down just one three, we are cutting down a whole wood just to place a mall, and that is causing a lot terrible climate changes!

UNIT 6, SPIRITUAL RENEWAL

Spiritual renewal can be defined as the process of growth and transformation into the image of God. People can do a lot of things to "growth and  transformed into the imagine of God", like take time alone to reflect about their life, also take a day to ate and/ or drink nothing for any reason that they have in their minds. Christians normally do those kind of things for a special occasion or for a special reason. I think that things like that can be good for them as long as they do not take those things to another level, one that they can get hurt spiritually, physical or emotional.

UNIT 7, WORKPLACE PRIVACY

Unit 7: WorkPlace Privacy    As you may know in some  jobs you do not have privacy. Employers can usually search an employee's workspace, including their desk office or lockers. It does not sound far at all, but they can do that because they are the owners of everything you are using there. Some employees feel uncomfortable in their job areas because they are being monitoring, but the employer has the right to do it as long as the monitoring is not particulary invasive. Cmeras in bathrooms or in dressing areas are usually not allowed. In conslusion, even if welike it or not employers have the right to monitoring our activities, register the computer we are using, the emal and even the desk because those are their belonges.

UNIT 05, FENG SHUI

FENG SHUI      In this entrance I am going to talk about one of the Chinese's beliefs the Feng shui.      Feng shui is an ancient art and science . Wood, fire, earth, metal, and water are each represented by certain colors that can  help us bring harmony to a particular space.

UNIT 6. SPIRITUAL RENEWAL

There are many ways of spiritual renewal. The most conmons nowadays are those, practiced by christians, for example: to take time alone to make refleccions about their lifes, refrain from any physical pleasures, take a day for eating little or not food for an special reason, etc. Other people decide to retreat from the society and go to a monastery as a way to renew their spirit. Those people are called monks (men), and nuns (women). They shoose to dedicate their lifes to God service. In this practice monks and nuns feel well being.

Unite 5 Feng shui

Many people and cultures have their superstitions or beliefs; looking for protection, good luck, healf and power. Workplace Under Surveillance

Work place privacy is growing up really fast and it is being spread out all over the world. I saw that video and I found it insteresting so I hope you like it. I call tell how work place privacy is going up in my own work place, we safeguards anywhere, surveillance video camera, we have our computer monitors and also all activities that we have with customers, any interation are recorded. When Employeers are approached by journalists to ask about benefits that emplyees might have with ther work place policy they give reasons that are suppously beneficial for employees but in my personal opinion I think employeers are looking forward  to having employees working more time than the one they are required at the end.
Spiritual Renewal  In this case I would rather to talk about me and my spiritual life, I think that it will also be good for me because I  feel that I have to renew my spiritual life. I am a believer and I have gone far from my religious life lately, due to my job, university and others activities I know I should not pay that much attention to, but I do. I was grown in a religious family, even my parents and grant parents were part of the main team at church. Since I was a child I was taught about God and the creation of the world by Him, and I was totaly involved in a religious life. with the step of the time as I was growing I started to be part of the teams on church, I was part of the child group of the church in which one I later on became a leader, then I when I get to be a teenager I moved to the teenagers group in which one also I became a leader in my firts year, then the president of the group in the next year and als...

UNITE 4, THE TIPPING POINT

The tipping point in social protests in 2017 There have had many social protects in Dominican Republic Through the years, but social movements in Dominican Republic had their most important antecedents in the 1916th by peasants that fight against the North American Intervention. Another important labor movement was in the sugar industry in the 40th against the Trujillo Dictatorship, and many social movements more, that have generated a sign in the history. The social protest that I want to refer as a tipping point in 2017 in Dominican Republic is the one called La Marcha Verde. La Marcha Verde had its roots at the beginning of these year in Santo Dominto due to the Odebrecht case, a company that belongs to Brasil. The governors involved in this case are Hipolito Mejia, Leonel Fernandez and Danilo Medina. The protest was generated by a group of civil organizations that win thousand of people over the country.
Unit 7 Workplace Privary This unit tells us why people are being monitor in several cases people should be manitored; specifically in public places such as: schools, malls, streets, etc. Nowadays; cameras are necessary and important to be placed in public places, because, thru them we can discover any crime or theft. As a result Privacy must be respected and protected. Finally this unit is about nowadays people are being Monitor.

UNIT 3 THE BOLD AND THE BASHFUL

According to the definition given by the dictionary, shyness is the quality of being shy; also is a fear of social interaction. There are many factors that cause shyness.  Psychologists say some reasons that make people shy; some of them are: parents divorces, physical attractiveness, parents behaviors, competition, new school or job, social situations specially when coming into contact with new people, they can feel fears about the reaction they will receive from others. In my opinion a shy person can be characterize as introvert, but not necessarily a negative or pessimist person. I think the can be shy but positive and optimist. To me there are different type of shy people, the one that is fearful to socialize in a group of people but is attentive about what is happening around him or her, and the other one who is shy and also is aloof or distant. In addition I thin that there are people more shy than others. From my point of view people don't born shy, I thi...

WORKPLACE PRIVACY

Nowadays workplace privacy is a topic that is related in a different manner, especially with technology since most of the company monitor virtually whether their employees as other people. But this topic about workplace privacy covers more than this. For example, the feeling of people about their privacy and the different question that have employees about their employer because of their feeling that it is an extreme control in some case. http://smallbusiness.chron.com/definition-workplace-privacy-15419.html Workplace Privacy Basics Workers are often accustomed to personal privacy in their private lives, but employers aren't necessarily obligated to give workers privacy while they're on the job. Employers hire workers to perform specific tasks --- time that employees spend taking care of private matters may seem wasteful in the eyes of the employer, so employers may monitor employee activities to determine which workers are wasting time or are engaged in activities that...
The tipping point Since a long time ago I am being asking myself about how social networks have become an addiction within the latest years. We can say that we are losing our interest in meeting eachother just because we supposely do no need to, why meeting you if I can tell you by whatsapp? I would say that social networks have a lot of advantages and disadvantages as well. it is good to have a way to keep in touch with people far away from you without moving any where, it is algo good to be able to share data just using facebook or whatsapp. it is good as well to be updated we the lates news just using your phone. however it is not that good to be the whole day paying attention to your phone or cumputer when you have homework to do, or any pending assignment. but as a matter of fact, social net...
Bold and bashful Being honest this a a topic that I really like, because I have a lot of things on my mind about it, I have met people with different personality and I have learned a lot from them. I don't label myself as a bashful person, I guess in cartain part of my life I was really shy, i learned alsdo from that stage being reserved no aways helps you that much. according to some informations I found reading about this topic there are a lot of hypothesis about why people are shy or outgoing. I found that some of them make sense not not all of them, there are some that i do not agree with. I would rather say that as there are a lot of personality there are particular reason for each individua. Let's talk about one of those ideas below. One of the most common reason about why peo...

It is really important to keep in mind that your honesty can change all around you either in a good way or in a bad one, let say that you have an important job and your boss realizes that your honesty has not been what they were specting it to be, and that you have told them lies, you could lose your job and also it could cause that you range of job oportunity goes down. honesty is also a important key within a relationship, it could help to have a good relation with your couple if you are honest, but it could also makes you lose that pers...
Workplace Privacy: Workplace privacy describe the extend to wich employers monitor and collect information on the activities, communications and private life of workers.   Most companies employees may engage in activities that are not related to their jobs. For instance, the workers make personal errands, call their relatives and friends and check their personal emails. So, as a way of deal with this situation, companies owners turn to this kind of "strategies" to know if worker are wasting time at worktime. Workers are accustomed to personal privacy, however, at work, employers are not obligated to give personal privacy to workers at the job. Employees are hired to do an specific task, not to spend time in personal stuffs. Source:http://smallbusiness.chron.com/definition-workplace-privacy-15419.html
Chapter 7 Workplace Privacy Employees  typically must relinquish some of their  privacy while at the workplace , but how much they must do so can be a contentious issue. The debate rages on as to whether it is moral, ethical and legal for employers to  monitor the actions of their employees .  Employers  believe that monitoring is necessary both to discourage illicit activity and to limit liability. Although, with this problem of monitoring of employees, many are experiencing a negative effect on  emotional  and physical stress including  fatigue , lowered  employee morale  and lack of  motivation  within the workplace. I think that privacy is very important but everything depends on the place where you need privacy. At the time of working you only need privacy in the bathroom since the employer delegates a great responsibility putting you as the face of the company for which you work. As I said before, the emp...
Chapter 6 Spiritual Renewal I usually renew my spiritual life by praying at list 3 times a day. It means that according with the people' culture they'll have different opinions and ways about how to organize each furniture in the house.  this legend will show a different view of the way people can arrange their furniture and even though there is not proof of it some of us want believed that heath can get better only by the way  they set up a bedroom set.. In my experience good health needs a lot more then just a believed and to keep healthy you need to do more then that.

Haitian Tipping Point In The Dominican Republic In a recent court ruling, undocumented Dominicans of  Haitian descent are being deported to Haiti sparking a human rights debate among the political elite and the Dominican Diaspora about the morality of deporting individuals living in the margins of the island’s society for generations. Many of the Haitian descendants were born in the Dominican Republic and have been assimilated into Dominican culture; this has been an ongoing political issue even before the passage of the court ruling. Historical relations between the two nations have been hampered with war and brutality. It started with the brutal treatment and occupa...

Workplace privacy

This was a conversation between my manager Maria Medina, two coworkers and I. Me: Have you ever felt that someone has invaded your privacy on your workplace? What have you done about it? Maria: It has happened to me at some time. I found some emails that I hadn't send, at first I couldn't solve this because it wasn't up to me and really it didn't affect so much. Over time this situation was getting worse and I had to talk about it with my managers because this interrupts your creation moments and at the same time it bothers a little bit because you feel like you are being monitored all the time. Me: So you think there's no benefit at all if your privacy has been violated on your workplace. Maria: of course not, this is very important in order to be productive. It's your place of creativity, your place of production, where your ideas come out and problems are solved, it's your workspace and it's private. PD. I only took what Maria Medina said even ...
